The Harrisburg Academy Spartans's four-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 37-18 win over York Country Day. That's another feather in the cap for Harrisburg Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Harrisburg Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Annabel Hathaway , who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Hayes Branoff , who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Harrisburg Academy pushed their record up to 1-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for York Country Day, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Harrisburg Academy will head out on the road to face off against New Covenant Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. York Country Day will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Octorara Area at 6:30 p.m. on January 19, 2024.
