The  win was some much needed relief for Caruthers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

 In other batting news, Caruthers got a  massive  performance out of  Jaden Gomez, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Esben Smith, who  scored two  runs and  stole four bases while going 2-for-4.
 Caruthers now  has a winning record of 12-11. As for Parlier, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost ten of their last 11 games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14-1 record  this season.
 Caruthers will have a chance to go back-to-back against Parlier: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
