Madison is 7-2 against Morse since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Warhawks will be playing at home against the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. Madison knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Morse likes a good challenge.
On Thursday, Madison made easy work of Lincoln and carried off a 17-3 victory. The Warhawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by six runs or more this season.
Aniyah Shelby (2029) made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with five RBI, one run, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Aryana Burnett (2029) was a standout: she went a perfect 5-for-5 with four runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Rosas (2029), who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Madison kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. They are a perfect 13-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Morse ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past Mission Bay 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since May 20, 2025.
Alyssa Truby spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on nine hits.
At the plate, Morse saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reylyn Sakamoto, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Madison has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.1 runs over those games. As for Morse, their win bumped their record up to 14-9.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Madison has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .467. However, it's not like Morse struggles in that department as they've averaged .493. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Madison was able to grind out a solid victory over Morse when the teams last played back in April, winning 6-1. Will the Warhawks repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
