Basketball Recap: Vista Extends Winning Streak to Five

Vista had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They strolled past the Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets with points to spare, taking the game 59-45.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Vista to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordyn Lowe, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Isabella Mosley, who earned 20 points.

Palo Verde Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jaslene Crow, who went 6 for 12 on her way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan McCarthy, who went 6 of 13 on her way to 15 points.

Vista's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Palo Verde Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.

Vista didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-21 defeat against Rancho Bernardo on the 23rd. As for Palo Verde Valley, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Calipatria at 7:00 p.m. on January 7th.
