Cameron County found their leader in underclassman Trinity Earle, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds. Earle has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ava Hilfiger, who scored eight points along with two blocks.
Cameron County's win bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Johnsonburg, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Cameron County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Coudersport at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Coudersport presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cameron County in Pennsylvania (Coudersport is ranked 240th, while Cameron County is ranked 621st). Johnsonburg will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against DuBois Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st. DuBois Central Catholic has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
