The Huntington Beach Oilers will square off against the Fountain Valley Barons at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Huntington Beach 2.2, Fountain Valley 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Fountain Valley will be up against a hot Huntington Beach team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Oilers blew past Edison 14-3 on Friday. Surprisingly, this marked the Oilers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Tyler Bellerose looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Trevor Goldenetz was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Ethan Porter was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Huntington Beach always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fountain Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over Los Alamitos on Friday.
Tyler Peshke made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Fountain Valley is 7-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 8-9 otherwise. Peshke was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Fountain Valley got a great performance from Nathan Martinez as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.
Peshke wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Josh Grack, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Huntington Beach's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Fountain Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 15-11.
Huntington Beach beat Fountain Valley 4-1 in their previous matchup back in March. Do the Oilers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Barons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
