In what's become a running theme this season, the Portage Mustangs gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They breezed by West Shamokin at home to the tune of 62-26. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-14.
Among those leading the charge was Ashlyn Hudak, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenna Burkett, who scored 12 points along with two blocks.
Portage pushed their record up to 15-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for West Shamokin, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
Portage will head out on the road to take on Conemaugh Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for West Shamokin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against River Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully River Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday.
