Pebblebrook hasn't had much luck against McEachern recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Falcons will welcome the Indians at 5:00 p.m. Pebblebrook has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Pebblebrook is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since February 10th on Thursday. They lost 12-6 to Osborne. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Falcons' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.
Damian Phipps made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Levi Stafford also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, McEachern faced Hillgrove in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Indians fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 9-8.
Tre Anderson was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over 4.1 innings pitched.
At the plate, Malachi Butler was cooking despite his team's loss, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-6.
McEachern's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Pebblebrook, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5-1.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Pebblebrook hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .346. However, it's not like McEachern struggles in that department as they've averaged .314. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Pebblebrook might still be hurting after the 23-5 defeat they got from McEachern when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
