The Franklin County Seahawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Mosley, falling 62-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Franklin County has scored all season.
Franklin County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Kembro, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadiq Jones, who scored 11 points.
Even though they lost, Franklin County were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mosley only pulled down eight offensive rebounds.
Eli Mcfatter was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals for Mosley. The matchup was Mcfatter's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Smith, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Franklin County's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3. As for Mosley, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
Franklin County will be playing at home against Arnold at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Arnold is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Mosley, they will head out on the road to face off against Bay at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bay will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while Mosley is ranked 103rd).
