Malad is 1-9 against the Pirates since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Malad Dragons will be playing at home against the West Side Pirates at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Malad's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Soda Springs. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Malad in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now lost nine in a row.
Meanwhile, West Side pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Aberdeen by a score of 61-58.
Malad has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. As for West Side, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.
Malad couldn't quite finish off the Pirates when the teams last played on Wednesday and fell 67-64. Will Malad have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
