Softball Recap: Lovett Has No Trouble Against Therrell + How To Watch

Lovett won the last time they faced Therrell and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lions blew past the Panthers 13-1. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won three matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Riley Gallagher was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Elle Kaufmann, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Lovett always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Therrell only posted an OBP of .222.

Lovett is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Therrell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Coming up, Lovett will welcome Carver at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Therrell, they will venture away from home to challenge Pebblebrook at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
