The Chaparral Wolverines will take on the Heritage Eagles at 3:00  p.m.  on Monday. Heritage took a loss in their last  contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Chaparral, who comes in off a win.
Chaparral will bounce into Monday's   matchup after  beating Castle View, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Wolverines sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  9-8  victory over the Sabercats  on Friday.
 Grace Carpenter looked comfortable as she  tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits.
 At the plate,  Keegan Freitas was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two  runs and two  RBI. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was  Evie Smith, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
Meanwhile,  after soaring to 15  runs the game before, Heritage was a bit more limited  in their  game  on Friday. They came up short against  Rock Canyon, falling  14-2.
  Caitlin Chamaty was cooking despite her team's loss,   going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  doubles, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.  Sydney Edwards was another key player,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 Chaparral now  has a winning record of 10-9. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.
