Greater Johnstown is 2-8 against Bishop Carroll since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Greater Johnstown Trojans are on the road again and plays the Bishop Carroll Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on February 12th.
Last Monday, Greater Johnstown was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 53-52 to Bishop McCort. While losing is never fun, Greater Johnstown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while Bishop McCort is ranked 25th).
Meanwhile, Bishop Carroll beat Bedford 61-51 on Monday.
Greater Johnstown dropped their record down to 10-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Bishop Carroll, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season.
Greater Johnstown beat Bishop Carroll 54-46 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Greater Johnstown since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
