The Saint Joseph Jesters's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past Mary Star of the Sea 47-19 at home. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Saint Joseph had established a 23 point advantage.
Saint Joseph found their leader in underclassman Olivia Martinez, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Martinez hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Sophia Velonza, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Saint Joseph's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Mary Star of the Sea, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.
