One of Colorado's top freshman has left the land of ski resorts for a much warmer climate.
Aspen (Colo.) quarterback
Tucker Beirne will be enrolling at
Columbus (Miami, Fla.) in January, according to Beirne's father Dave.
Tucker's family is moving to the Miami area in the next few weeks. Dave expects that Tucker will be ready to practice with Columbus once spring football arrives in May.
Entering the fall, Tucker was anointed the starting quarterback at Aspen and was named a
Top 10 freshmen to watch by MaxPreps.
He did not disappoint, throwing for 2,013 yards and 22 touchdowns in leading Aspen to a 7-4 record. He should be in the mix of a quarterback competition, as Columbus quarterback
Garrett Fortner will be graduating this spring.
