Science Leadership Academy had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against John Bartram by a score of 35-26 on Monday. The victory was just what Science Leadership Academy needed coming off of a 54-24 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Tacony Academy Charter's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 52-27 loss at the hands of Frankford. While losing is never fun, Tacony Academy Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 620th, while Frankford is ranked 249th).
Science Leadership Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Tacony Academy Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Things could have been worse for Science Leadership Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 43-26 loss to Tacony Academy Charter in their previous meeting back in January of 2023.
