Basketball Recap: Yosemite Sets Scoring Season-High Against Riverdale

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Yosemite). They claimed a resounding 66-27 victory over the Riverdale Cowboys. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Badgers also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Yosemite's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jadyn Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. That's the most points Johnson has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kaydynn Ellis, who went 10 for 21 en route to 22 points along with five boards and three steals.

Yosemite's victory ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-15. As for Riverdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.

Yosemite will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Caruthers at 5:45 p.m. As for Riverdale, they will welcome Fowler at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Riverdale is facing Fowler at the right time seeing as Fowler is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
