 Mason Cooper was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 294 yards and six  TDs while completing 93.8% of his passes. Those  294  passing yards gave  him a new career-high.  Dobson Martin handled things on the ground, rushing for 83 yards and a  rushing touchdown.
 Sulphur Springs didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Mason Horne,  Nathan Adams,  and  Grayson Hardy picked up one apiece.
 Despite the  defeat, Community saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Ranti Wilson rushed for 107 yards and one  score on only 14 carries.
Sulphur Springs' victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Community,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-7.
 Sulphur Springs wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  a  38-14  win against Lake Dallas on the 31st.
