Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Red Bluff's 12th in Last 15 Outings

There's no place like home for Red Bluff, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They never let the University Prep Panthers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Red Bluff let Lucas Owens and Ryan Ross run wild. Owens went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Ross went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI Owens has posted since back in April of 2024. Mason Lyford was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Red Bluff kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 16 consecutive matchups.

Red Bluff has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for University Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-9-1 record this season.

Red Bluff does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for University Prep, they will square off against Anderson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers are facing the Cubs at the right time seeing as the Cubs are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
