The Placer Hillmen won the last time they faced the Nevada Union Miners, and things went their way on Thursday too. Placer won by a goal and slipped past Nevada Union 2-1.
Placer was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Ella Turner and
Saree Retallack, who scored both of Placer's goals. The pair have combined for a total of nine so far this season.
Placer's win bumped their record up to 4-7-3. As for Nevada Union, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11-1 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Ponderosa the next time they take the pitch. Placer will host Ponderosa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Nevada Union will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
