Softball Recap: Marian Wins Going Away Against Omaha North

While Marian put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Omaha North. The Crusaders were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Vikings. The victory continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won six in a row.

Marian let Brooklyn Kincaid and Emily Berthelsen run wild. Kincaid went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Berthelsen went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That double was Berthelsen's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Adele Tompsett, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Marian hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Marian's record now sits at 8-11. As for Omaha North, they are on a 20-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-21.

Coincidentally, Marian and Omaha North will both be playing Omaha Westside the next time they take the field. The Vikings will head out to face the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Crusaders will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
