Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Olivia Martinez, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Leah Zabukovac, who scored four points along with ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, St. Monica came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Serra 46-24. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory St. Monica has posted since November 30, 2023.
Saint Joseph has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season. As for St. Monica, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-9 record this season.
