The Muir Mustangs will challenge the Polytechnic Panthers at 3:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Muir is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
On Tuesday, Muir narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past Heritage Christian  5-4.

 Miguel Castillo looked comfortable as he  tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits. He has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time he's  pitched this season.
 At the plate, Muir's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Kahlil Rishwain, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Polytechnic didn't have quite enough to beat Palm Springs on Saturday and fell  7-6.
  Alejandro KohnRabassa was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances. Those  three  runs gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alex Chui, who  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with.
 Muir pushed their record up to 4-0 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Polytechnic, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
