The Lake-Lehman Knights can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They put the hurt on Wyoming Area with a sharp 47-24 victory. Given Lake-Lehman's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while Wyoming Area is ranked 523rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Wyoming Area still got an impressive performance from Erica Gilligan, who scored five points.
Lake-Lehman has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Wyoming Area, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake-Lehman will challenge Dunmore at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. Dunmore has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Wyoming Area, they will head out on the road to square off against Holy Redeemer at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Holy Redeemer will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
