Lynbrook had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 3-8 to make it eight. They lost 11-3 to the Gunn Titans. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 16-3 to the Titans when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Akira Gok was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of William Tai, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
As for Gunn, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games.
On Gunn's side, Anders Lo was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Lo was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Gunn's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-6 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Gunn got a big performance out of Phillip Ma, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. David Fornwald was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lynbrook is set to square off against their familiar foe Saratoga at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Gunn will face off against rival Cupertino at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
