The Laguna Hills Hawks are taking a road trip to challenge the Tustin Tillers at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Laguna Hills will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Laguna Hills is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Santa Ana Valley with a sharp 21-0 victory on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Hawks with their most commanding win of the season.

Christian Sigaty and Jake Kahl made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Sigaty pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Kahl pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Sigaty has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. At bat, Sigaty scored three runs while going 2-for-4, while Kahl scored two runs while going 3-for-5. Laguna Hills is undefeated when Sigaty posts two or more runs, but 6-7 otherwise.
In other pitching news, Chris Cooke looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Laguna Hills got a massive performance out of Truett Kordes, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Kordes also put up two doubles, which were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Nate Medina, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Laguna Hills hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Santa Ana Valley struck out 13 times.
Meanwhile, Tustin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Crean Lutheran. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Tillers haven't been shut out since back in March.
Tustin also got a good showing from Andrew Lechuga, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
Laguna Hills' record is now 9-7. As for Tustin, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12-1.
Laguna Hills was able to grind out a solid win over Tustin in their previous matchup back in March, winning 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
