Northpoint Christian's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Harding Academy 20-0. Considering the Trojans have won 15 contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Katy Bobo, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Hannah Bostain, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Northpoint Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in 11 consecutive games.
The home team had won the previous five meetings between Millington Central and Houston, and Millington Central kept the tradition alive. The Trojans walked away with a 9-4 win over the Mustangs on Wednesday.
