Make it seven blowout wins for the Escondido Charter White Tigers this season. They put the hurt on Maranatha Christian with a sharp 61-38 win on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Escondido Charter has posted since December 12, 2023.
Noelle Champagne was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with eight assists and eight steals. That's the first time this season that she posted eight or more assists. Harper Mowrey was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Escondido Charter and bumps their season record up to 7-10. As for Maranatha Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.
Escondido Charter won't have much time to rest: their next game is against University City at 1:30 p.m. on January 13th. As for Maranatha Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Tri-City Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Tri-City Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Friday.
