The Kennard-Dale Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 59-37 walloping at the hands of Northeastern. Kennard-Dale has struggled against Northeastern recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Northeastern's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colleen Finnegan, who scored 16 points. Finnegan continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lauralye Kennedy, who scored 11 points.
Kennard-Dale's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.4 points per game. As for Northeastern, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennard-Dale will take on Dover at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Northeastern, they will head out on the road to challenge York Suburban at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. York Suburban is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
