Priory and Harker are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Priory knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Harker likes a good challenge.
Priory came out on top against Crystal Springs Uplands on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive 11-run sixth inning. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 16-7 margin over the Gryphons. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Michael Hildebrandt made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Hildebrandt was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Jaidee Gerrodette was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Nathan Tuan was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Priory always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .565. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .537 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, while it was Harker who put the first runs on the board on Thursday, it was El Camino who put up more. The Eagles lost 11-4 to the Colts. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Colts: they've now lost eight in a row.
Jackson Powell and Pedro Castro stepped up to the plate in a big way. Powell got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI, while Castro got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Priory has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Harker, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Priory has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Harker struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Priory couldn't quite finish off Harker in their previous matchup back in March and fell 8-6. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
