Staunton lost to Litchfield back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Purple Panthers by a score of 3-2. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Staunton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Overby, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. Another was Carter Legendre, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

Staunton's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Litchfield, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 15-11.

Coming up, Staunton will venture away from home to face off against Jersey at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Litchfield, they will square off against Vandalia at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
