Neshannock is 10-0 against the Tigers since December of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Neshannock Lancers will head out on the road to challenge the Beaver Falls Tigers at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Neshannock's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games.
Neshannock put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They blew past Riverside, posting a 59-20 win on the road. Given Neshannock's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Panthers are ranked 560th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Beaver Falls has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell to Ellwood City 46-40.
Neshannock pushed their record up to 14-5 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.2 points per game. As for Beaver Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.
Everything came up roses for Neshannock against the Tigers when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 70-40 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Neshannock since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
