Lincoln Southwest has gone 8-2 against Fremont recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Silver Hawks will take on the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lincoln Southwest has five straight victories, Fremont has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Lincoln Southwest is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nebraska's top teams: Elkhorn South, who was ranked 16th at the time (Lincoln Southwest was ranked third). The Silver Hawks blew past the Storm 11-3 on Monday. Considering the Silver Hawks have won 17 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Maisey McCarty made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Taylor Siefken was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four runs, two triples, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since September 5th. Brenly Noerrlinger was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Lincoln Southwest kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Fremont fell victim to Blair and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Bears, falling 14-0.
Lincoln Southwest's record now sits at 24-2. As for Fremont, their loss dropped their record down to 3-22.
Fremont's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lincoln Southwest has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Fremont, though, as they've been averaging 9.8 hits. Given Lincoln Southwest's sizable advantage in that area, the Tigers will need to find a way to close that gap.
Lincoln Southwest took their win against Fremont when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Silver Hawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
