For Mohawk Area, this counts as revenge for the 65-46 defeat the Wolverine walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Ellwood City's loss came despite strong showings from Claire Noble and Kayla Jones. Noble scored 16 points, while Jones scored 16 points. Caitlin Kreitzer was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Mohawk Area has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Ellwood City, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.
