Having just played yesterday, the Madison Warhawks will get right back to it and host the El Cajon Valley Braves at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Madison had a senior duo take command as Sierra Minshew dropped a double-double on 12 points and 19 rebounds and Amyaha Walker scored 22 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Walker has scored at least a third of Madison's points.

El Cajon Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was McKinley Morgan out in front who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Morgan hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for ten straight games. Onnamarie Miller was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Madison is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for El Cajon Valley, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-15.
Wednesday's matchup is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Madison have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 35.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like El Cajon Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.1 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Madison lost to El Cajon Valley at home by a decisive 43-29 margin in their previous meeting back in January of 2022. Thankfully for Madison, Aniah Deloatch (who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
