On Sunday, Westinghouse suffered a rough 47-26 loss at the hands of Monessen. Westinghouse has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Monessen got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Hailey Johnson out in front who scored six points along with nine rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sidney Campbell, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Westinghouse now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Monessen, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westinghouse will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Brashear at 3:15 p.m. on January 30th. As for Monessen, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Avella at 7:00 p.m. Avella is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
