Westside extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 9-20. They came up short against the Aquinas Irish, falling 20-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Irish this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Tuesday.

Westside saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Collins, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Collins is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
As for Aquinas, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-7. That looming 20-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.
On Aquinas' side, Greg Doman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Doman posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Michael Koltz looked comfortable as he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.
Back at the plate, Aquinas got a massive performance out of James Sherry, who went 4-for-5 with two triples, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Sherry a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Patrick Sherry, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI.
As of now, neither Westside nor Aquinas have any future games scheduled.
