West is 1-9 against Golden Valley since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Tuesday. The West Vikings will look to defend their home court  against the Golden Valley Bulldogs at 6:30  p.m. Hopefully West is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Golden Valley in California (West is ranked 420th, while Golden Valley is ranked 926th).
 West waltzed into their contest  on Thursday with two straight wins  but they left with three. They took down South 46-31.
 It was another big night for  Caleigh Adams, who  scored 28 points along with nine  rebounds and six  blocks. That makes it five consecutive games in which  she has scored at least a third of West's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Iyanna King mathews, who  scored 14 points along with five  rebounds.
 Meanwhile,  while it was all tied up  20-20 at halftime, Golden Valley was not quite Arvin's equal in the second half  on Thursday. Golden Valley took a  40-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arvin.
 West has  been performing  well recently as they've  won eight of their last ten contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Golden Valley, their loss was  their fifth straight at home, which  bumped their record down to 6-13.
 West came up short against Golden Valley in their previous meeting  back in February of 2023, falling  47-40. Can West avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
