Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Verdugo Hills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amiyya Castanos, who scored 15 points along with eight steals. Another player making a difference was Rose Villatoro, who scored ten points along with seven steals and two blocks.
Verdugo Hills has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. As for Monroe, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14.

As for Monroe, they will head out on the road to square off against the Parrots at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
