The Bishop Conaty-Loretto Wildcats will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Serra Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Bishop Conaty-Loretto fought the good fight in their overtime match against the Jesters on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Jesters 37-31. Bishop Conaty-Loretto has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Serra was the victim of a rough 61-37 loss at the hands of the Lancers on Tuesday. Serra has not had much luck with the Lancers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Serra's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kaicia Snelson, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Ryleigh Boagni who scored 12 points. Snelson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadah Foster, who scored four points.
Bishop Conaty-Loretto has not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-18 record this season. As for Serra, they now have a losing record at 12-13.
Bishop Conaty-Loretto was dealt a bruising 61-31 defeat at the hands of the Cavaliers in their previous matchup back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Snelson, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Now that Bishop Conaty-Loretto knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
