The Truman Patriots will challenge the St. Michael the Archangel Guardians at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Truman is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
Truman's last matchup with Fort Osage could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Tuesday. The Patriots came up short against the Indians, falling 9-3. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Haylee Parker
| 10/07/25 @ Fort Osage | 4 |
| 10/06/25 @ Raytown | 2 |
| 10/01/25 vs Ruskin | 1 |
| 09/30/25 vs Chrisman | 1 |
| 09/24/25 @ St. Teresa's Academy | 1 |
Haylee Parker was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases and one run. Parker is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, St. Michael the Archangel came into Tuesday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past St. Teresa's Academy 11-1 on Tuesday. The Guardians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.
Sophie Young made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. Young was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in September.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Samantha Dorsch, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Kylie Purtle was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs.
St. Michael the Archangel's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Truman, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
Wednesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Truman has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .485. However, it's not like St. Michael the Archangel struggles in that department as they've averaged .479. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Truman beat St. Michael the Archangel 7-4 in their previous matchup back in August of 2024. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Guardians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
