The Sacramento Dragons will be playing at home against the Rio Americano Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Rio Americano took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Sacramento, who comes in off a win.
After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Sacramento brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 63-24 victory over Del Campo. The victory was just what Sacramento needed coming off of a 59-19 defeat in their prior game.
La ne Dunn was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 21 rebounds. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Sacramento's points. Ne'veah Curtis was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Rio Americano was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 41-37 to El Camino.
Sacramento's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Rio Americano, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.
Sacramento couldn't quite finish off Rio Americano when the teams last played back in February of 2023 and fell 34-32. Can Sacramento avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
