Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cheyenne). They secured a 62-56 W over the Somerset Sky Pointe Eagles on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Desert Shields as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Phoenix Dalton had an outrageously good game as he almost dropped a double-double on 33 points and nine steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Igniz Segovia-Gonzalez, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Somerset Sky Pointe lost, don't look at Ja'Cory Gory. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 34 points and 11 boards. Those 34 points gave Gory a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmitt Bell, who posted 13 points and seven rebounds.

Cheyenne's victory bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Somerset Sky Pointe, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Cheyenne has already played their next matchup, a 74-40 loss against Sierra Vista on the 9th. As for Somerset Sky Pointe, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-45 win against Amplus Academy on the 9th.
