Bleckley County is a perfect 10-0 against Northeast since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Royals will square off against the Raiders at 4:00 p.m. Bleckley County's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Northeast's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Bleckley County is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering First Presbyterian Day just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (11-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
Northeast never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Baldwin on Monday. They blew past the Braves 15-0. Considering the Raiders have won eight games by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Jamauri Crawford made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Crawford was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Jordan ?ManMan? Durham was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Northeast is undefeated when Durham posts two or more runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Zekendall Williams was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Northeast always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Baldwin only posted an OBP of .312.
Bleckley County's defeat dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Northeast, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Bleckley County got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 against Northeast by a conclusive 14-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Royals since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
