The Lodi Flames will head out on the road to face off against the Lincoln Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Lodi has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight losses, while Lincoln will come in with six straight victories.
Lodi is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest defeat since February 21st on Thursday. They fell just short of St. Mary's by a score of 4-2.
Lodi saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jason Crawford, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, while Lincoln put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for West. The Trojans blew past the Wolfpack 10-0. Considering the Trojans have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Cooper Conklin looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Izaak Hill was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Jordan Jauregui was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Lodi, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Lodi has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Lincoln struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Lodi beat Lincoln 8-3 in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Do the Flames have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
