The East Allegheny Wild Cats lost against the Southmoreland Scotties back in December of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. East Allegheny was the victim of a rough 60-35 loss at the hands of Southmoreland. While losing is never fun, East Allegheny can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 490th, while Southmoreland is ranked 54th).
Leading Southmoreland to victory were Noah Felentzer and Ty Keffer. Felentzer scored 19 points, while Keffer scored 23 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Keffer has scored at least 25% of Southmoreland's points. Another player making a difference was Elliot Premus, who scored six points.
East Allegheny's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Southmoreland, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing South Park the next time they take the court. Southmoreland will head out to face South Park at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while East Allegheny will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on December 29th.
