The Foothill Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. Their tough 55-32 defeat to El Dorado might stick with them for a while. Foothill has struggled against El Dorado recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Foothill had strong showings from Paige Bak, who scored four points along with 12 rebounds, and Maleah Paige, who scored 13 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Paige has scored all season.
Even though they lost, Foothill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. This was only their 12th loss (out of 17 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Foothill has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season. As for El Dorado, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Foothill will take on Brea Olinda at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for El Dorado, El Dorado and Esperanza will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Esperanza is on a three-game streak of home wins, El Dorado a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
