Despite the loss, Conwell-Egan Catholic had strong showings from Brianna Jackson, who went 7 for 15 on her way to 18 points in addition to five assists and three steals, and Lily Milewski, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 boards. Jackson is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Dellavecchio, who posted eight points and five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Conwell-Egan Catholic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Little Flower Catholic for Girls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 74-21 loss at the hands of Archbishop Wood. While losing is never fun, Little Flower Catholic for Girls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 326th, while Archbishop Wood is ranked 11th).
Conwell-Egan Catholic will need focus on slowing down Saani Evans, one of several Little Flower Catholic for Girls players who made an impact when they last played. She had nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexa Harr, who posted six points.
Little Flower Catholic for Girls' loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Conwell-Egan Catholic, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-8.
Everything came up roses for Conwell-Egan Catholic against Little Flower Catholic for Girls in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 64-30 win.
