Baseball Recap: Aquinas Continues Road Dominance on Monday

Aquinas entered their tilt with Ontario Christian on Monday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over the Knights. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Chris Alzaga looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

At the plate, Aquinas got a massive performance out of Mason Greenhouse, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs Greenhouse has posted since back in March. Jonathan Tena was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Aquinas always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in five consecutive games.

Aquinas pushed their record up to 21-2 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Ontario Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aquinas will welcome Jurupa Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ontario Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Woodcrest Christian at 3:30 p.m.
