Given Redbank Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Keystone is ranked 521st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Redbank Valley was led to victory by Adyson Bond and Isabella Bond. Bond scored 16 points along with three steals, while Bond scored 22 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Bond scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elaina Carrico, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Redbank Valley's victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.29 points. As for Keystone, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Redbank Valley will take on Karns City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Karns City will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Keystone, they will head out on the road to face off against East Forest at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
